COVID-19 Information
Our Commitment to You:
The health of our clients, our staff, and your guests is of utmost importance here at Kindred Oaks and we have been, and continue to be, fully committed to meeting or exceeding all Minimum Standard Health Protocols as outlined by the State of Texas on the governor’s website to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Our venue is an outdoor venue that sits up high on a hill that affords us a wonderful and near constant breeze. The State has already stated that wedding receptions held outside are the recommended way to host events and as such, we have no outdoor occupancy limit. Indoors, we are currently limited to 50% occupancy and we limit the guests coming inside to those who are in the bridal party and their families.
We hand out the aforementioned guidelines to our couples as they approach the final month of their planning. The protocols we discuss are:
- All employees and customers must wear a face covering (over the nose and mouth) wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another individual not in the same household and all employees self-screen before going into work for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 as listed on the governor’s website.
- Hand sanitizing stations are located through the building and upon guest entry to the outdoor ceremony site.
- We have no tables of more than 10 seats and usually more often than not, we see 6-8.
- Our staff is trained on appropriate cleaning and sanitation of the venue.
- Our event staff frequently cleans and disinfects doorknobs, tables, chairs, and furniture.
- We have signage printed from the governor’s website (https://dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/toolkit/print/WhatToDo-EN.pdf) and placed on all entrance doors to the venue, as well as the outdoor bar area and all indoor doors.
- We have 6ft distance markers placed by the buffet area as well as leading to the bar.
Our Client’s Commitment to Us:
- Reading of all the Minimum Standard Health Protocols as outlined by the State of Texas.
- Agreeing to abide by the protocols as established by the State of Texas.
- Self-screen before going into the reception for any new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19.
