President
Steve Lincoln co-founded Kindred Oaks in October 2003 and
serves as its President and head of operations. Previously,
he served as Vice President of Operations for ten years at
Red Barn Garden Centers, a local garden nursery and Austin
institution, and watched its productivity rise from $900,000
its first year to over $5,000,000 within 5 years. Steve has
over 30 years experience in management, retail sales and customer
service and has overseen staffs of 2 - 100 employees. He gained
their trust and loyalty through a joint-effort approach and
has remained a friend and/or mentor to most if not all of
them. Throughout his career, Steve has been responsible for
general operations, overseeing personnel training, inventory
control and maintenance, customer relations and project expansion.
Additionally, he has been a member of several business associations
and has participated in various notable continuing education
courses. Steve holds Bachelor's degrees in both Sociology
and Law Enforcement and Corrections from Drury College in
Missouri.
Vice President
Elaine Lincoln has over twenty years of sales experience in
the retail market, serving in management, sales, marketing
and customer service. She co-founded Kindred Oaks in 2003
and serves as its Vice President and Director of Marketing.
She is responsible for public relations, marketing and sales,
customer support, and web design. Together with her business
partner Steve, they have watched Kindred Oaks grow 400% its
second year and 75% its third year with a projected 100% for
the 4th year. Elaine has served in many business and networking
associations and has been a frequent guest speaker on behalf
of the companies she has represented. She has also been a
featured writer of anecdotes and garden advice in the Austin
American Statesman and the co-host of her own gardening radio
show. A native Austinite, Elaine earned her Bachelor's degree
in Radio-Television-Film/Communications from the University
of Texas in 1989.
Event Services Manager
Sue Clinard joined Kindred Oaks upon its inception in October
2003 along with her husband Randy and daughter Shannon, where
she is involved in facility management and event coordination.
Prior to Kindred Oaks, she served as a corporate event coordinator
at Birch and Davis, Inc. working with groups of medical professionals
from all over the United States. She has over 20 years experience
in management and overseeing the organizational transformation
of departments at EDS and the Bell County Rehabilitation Center.
Sue has served on several business association committees
and has been a board member of the Wildlife Rescue Group of
Austin. Throughout her professional career, she has focused
on her core values of ethics, teamwork and attention to detail
to accomplish her professional and personal goals. She holds
a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
Consultant and Solutions Facilitator
Ms. Conner is a business professional with over 15 years of
experience in strategic relations, sales and operations management,
training, and business communications. She has had the opportunity
of working within informational technology departments as
a hardware and software trainer, earning numerous technical
certifications, and has designed and delivered computer networking
and software training courses. Ms. Conner was Director of
Operations and later served as Director of Strategic Relations
for P.I. Corporation, where she successfully developed and
maintained key strategic relationships with partners like
IBM, Microsoft, Compaq, HP, Nortel, Cisco and others. Michelle
has extensive experience in bringing manufacturers and their
products together to offer integrated technology solutions.
Ms. Conner built and managed a channel partnership program
with Dell Computers for a co-branded wireless technology solution
where she trained and supported over 500 sales people and
served as liaison for the engineering, sales and product marketing
teams. Ms. Conner currently operates her own company Power
to Communicate, where she enjoys the opportunity to coach
and develop internal team members to reach goals and enjoy
great success in the area of business development, sales,
customer service, management and leadership for the long term.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education
and Management from Texas State University.
Eudora’s Cuisine
Catherine joined Kindred Oaks in its infancy, in 2004 as the
exclusive gourmet breakfast caterer to those clients staying
in the facility’s overnight accommodations. Prior to
joining Kindred Oaks, Ms. McDargh garnered over 20 years of
experience in training and mentoring employees for excellence.
She managed both full-service and quick-service restaurants,
including corporate training facilities, for 16 years. Currently,
Ms. McDargh operates her own catering company, Eudora’s
Cuisine and enjoys skillfully preparing innovative meals and
providing a delectable dining experience for groups as varied
as small dinner parties to corporate and wedding receptions
for hundreds.
Consultant and Solutions Facilitator
Ms. Terrell has more than 20 years of management experience
in operations, business development, high-tech product planning
and software development, and customer support. She has an
extensive business background and has participated in start-ups
and mergers. Ms. Terrell currently operates her own independent
consulting business, JT Consulting where she offers her expertise
in data and application integration. Prior to joining Kindred
Oaks, she was Director of IT Applications at Pervasive Software
and currently serves as a technical consultant to Pervasive
Software’s Chief Technical Officer. Ms. Terrell was
Vice President of Technical Services at Data Junction Corporation
and was instrumental in its merger with Pervasive Software.
She has successfully trained, coached, and mentored employees
and customers for over 15 years, including both technical
and soft skills. Ms. Terrell attended Texas A & M University.
Consultant and Solutions Facilitator
Mr. Wilson brings to Kindred Oaks over 15 years of experience
in leadership, recruiting, training and communications in
fields as diverse as Youth Pastor of Riverbend Church to Executive
Director over Faith Works Outreach, Inc. a non-profit organization
based in Austin, Texas. Today, he oversees the operations
of his own company, Joey Home Solutions, and joins Kindred
Oaks in his commitment to personal growth and desire to reach
companies with real solutions to business and employee challenges.
Mr. Wilson has successfully created, launched and directed
numerous ministry programs, both local and international and
has been instrumental in the vast growth experienced under
his leadership. Exceptionally creative, Joey brings a wealth
of knowledge and humor to the field of team building, goal
setting and problem solving. He holds a Masters Degree in
Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary and a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and Psychology
from the University of Mobile, Alabama.
